Could anybody please suggest a good grade of soil for growing paw paws? I have only been growing them in peat pots because i heard that they like a peaty soil. I have little experience with they and i’m really worried about it. I want to try growing them on a good soil but don’t know where to get the good soil. Also, could someone please direct me to some good video on growing paw paws?
im a beginner too so i can’t help you but i can tell you that when you learn how to grow plants with soil and not with peatpots you will be so happy with the results. i have paw paws growing right now on a sandy soil and the moment they start to grow some leaves they start to flower. the soil has my house cats litter as well so its a bit of an enviroment for them but they don’t seem to mind.
hm, im using bat guano for the first time and im very happy with the results. i havent had paw paws yet but i am so looking forward to it.
Quote:Sandy soil is what you want. The dirt will go back into the ground like a natural fertilizer. If you want to save money, you can compost the used dirt, then spread it around your garden.
Bat guano is also known as’manure tea’…it can be made from bat poop (and bird poop and cow poop)…it is the same as ‘Clay’, only it is a bit heavier and a bit chunkier.
I have always read that the best of all environments for paw paws is one that is not heavily fertilized. No fertilizer for them, just drip the baby paws off to the soil that was raised in the leaf pots and you are halfway. I do not have my greenhouse anymore and have not started back up on my paumos. Have Paw Paws growing at the moment.Electrical noise immunity of pre-amplified millimeter-wave bolometer system by small signal detection method.
